Theory of Hospitality

Einstein was right! Everything is relative.

This means that how we create our memories relates directly to how we experience life. From there, it is easy to also conclude that if an experience exceeds our expectations, then the memories of that experience will be burned into our memory forever.

At Nimmo Bay, we have constructed our own theory that supports our basic philosophy---a philosophy that we live by in everything we do. We call this our

Theory of Hospitality     (With apologies to Albert Einstein and his Theory of Relativity…)

We adhere also to the theory that we don’t own the land---the land owns us. We are lucky just to be here and act as stewards of this miraculous land that we live and work in---the Great Bear Rainforest. This awesome ecosystem is the largest intact, coastal temperate rainforest in the world. We take our stewardship responsibilities seriously, as is reflected in our Statement of Stewardship (SOS).

Our Employees’ Creed hints at how we live our life at Nimmo Bay Resort. We don’t think of our work here as a “job”. It’s more an approach to life that empowers us and makes us better people. We believe that our energy and enthusiasm for what we do here, in the heart of nature’s most beautiful creation, rubs off on our guests too.

Our Theory of Hospitality is not just limited to “expectations exceeded”. You can take this formula (e2 = mc) and substitute a couple of words from our Value of "E" list to come up with your own formula that better represents your personal focus.

The Theory of Hospitality

At Nimmo Bay we live by a basic principal in everything we do.
